This Weekend I...

Joining Becky at Keys to the Cottage for
Head on over to see what others did this weekend!
  • Saw the second of two baby fawns born on our property
  • Participated in "Promotion Sunday" at our church
  • Helped Gentleman Farmer (unsuccessfully) hunt for an arrow lost while target practicing.
  • Watched and directed ;~} Gentleman Farmer roto-till our 'still-too-wet-to-plant' garden spot
  • Visited friends who are selling their home and moving to Michigan
  • Mowed literally acres of grass
  • 'Enjoyed' yet another evening fire 5 weeks after our usual 'last fire of the year' date. (We heat our home with wood heat.) So much for global warming!

I soooo understand about the gardens! My tomatoes are still in one gallon pots in the greenhouse!! I wish we would get a few dry days...all in a row, so I can get some gardening done!

Take care my friend!

Blessings!

Well baby fawns beats out everything I did this weekend. Not that it is a contest but I'm just saying ...

And I love an outdoor fire. Global warming is so overrated :)

Thanks so much for joining in with us.

Hi- I'm visiting from Becky's. We had promotion Sunday yesterday too! I just love watching those kids grow and learn!
And I agree, global warming - what a joke. We haven't had a day over 68 degrees yet.

I wish our church still did promotions Sundays. I have such fond memories of them as a child. They were grand events!

Love your beautiful blog . . . the background, your photos, and your posts!

We just had Promotion Sunday, too - and just finished a great VBS!

I'll be back to visit!

You did have a busy weekend dear friend!

It is good to have things accomplished...isn't it?

Today, the weather is very cool. It feels like fall instead of spring...but we have yet to plant any vegetables :)

My dear husband is trying to shift things around in the garden and landscape at the same time...so, it will be awhile yet.

Thank you for sharing.

Blessings dear one,

Maria

You have a lovely blog. I'm visiting from Becky's place. And baby fawns would definitely be the highlight of the weekend!

Dear Raeann,

I think despite the rest of your weekend the Baby Fawns should make up for it :) What a blessing to see those little sweeties! Our garden is not planted yet, not because of rain or being too wet but for fear of frost and lack of time. Usually for us we plant after Memorial Day. It seems we have gone from Winter right into Summer in the 90's, Ugh!

Have a blessed day sweet friend!

Haha, you had to comment on GW! No matter what, we are still to be good stewards of the earth, avoid wastefulness of our precious resources, and trust that God will take care of the rest. Wish I could have seen the fawns - that indeed beats my weekend. Went out in the boat with the in-laws, had difficulty getting it back on the trailer, and managed to break one of the windows in the process.
