Five Little Turkeys

Thanksgiving Fingerplay for children

Five little turkeys standing at the door,
One waddled off, and then there were four.

Four little turkeys sitting near a tree,
One waddled off, and then there were three.

Three little turkeys with nothing to do,
One waddled off and then there were two.
Two little turkeys in the morning sun,
One waddled off and then there was one.

One little turkey better run away,
For soon it will be Thanksgiving Day!

"Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3

Thanks for the inspiration! I know some little turkeys who will love this game! Happy Thanksgiving to you and the Gentleman Farmer! (See you soon)

You have a lovely blog. I've enjoyed spending time here, listening to your peaceful music and reading your posts. I love these finger play things you can do with kids. I remember fondly being a little kid and having some very patient great aunts and great uncles who'd sit me in their laps and recite some of these with me. Thanks for sharing, and for helping me take a little trip down memory lane today :)
