"Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain; and the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

Raeann,
That's such a powerful post and verse!
I remember the day that happened! Our house shook...we live just across the border in BC. Can it really be THIRTY years ago?? We just flew over her last week on our way home from CA...what a magnificent sight! What power was displayed by our Great God on that day! Thanks for posting Raeann...I really like the pictures you included. AND what an appropriate text of Scripture. :)
Blessings,
Camille
I remember well, when this happened.Where did time go? It doesn't seem like 30 years has passed. Thank you for sharing.

I too remember...it sounded like someone kicked something against our house. We received a light dusting of ash.
We have been there a few times over the years...an amazing sight!
Blessings!

My parents lived in Richland at the time. Their car was covered with ash and they sent us a little souvenir (where did I put that....it must have blended in with all the other dust a round here!).
I remember praying for Harry Truman. He was interviewed several times prior to the eruption. He was adamant in his refusal to leave his home. I don't believe he was ever found....Sad.
