Flower Gardens: Part 2

After our delightful visit to the Adelman Peony Gardens,
Gentleman Farmer and I were a little bit hungry.
Being totally unfamiliar with the area, we just started driving.
We didn't find anything to eat yet, but
after just a couple of minutes we saw a sign saying
"Iris Gardens up ahead".
Of course we had to stop in.
Down a very long, winding gravel drive we came to a field
with a small, but quaint iris garden, food for the soul!

Dear Lady Farmer,

How pretty! What a nice surprise to come across! I love the dark pink one! My friend from church recently traded me some white iris's for my purple ones. They are so pretty!

What a delightful discovery. There must have been one in every color. Thanks for taking us along. Although I know pictures just aren't the same with something like this.

Thanks for stopping by to share in my laundry lesson.

Dear Lady Farmer,

What lovely irises! Ours were pelted by hail and rain, and didn't do very well for us. Did you have a chance to smell any of those in the garden? It's strange, but our purple ones smell like grape candy, the yellow ones smell like banana candy, the brown ones smell like rootbeer, and the white ones smell like cream soda. MMM! And no calories!

Love,

Marqueta
