Praying here too. How long will he be away? It doesn't feel that long ago that I was saying goodbye to my husband-of-3-months as he was leaving for 'over there'... Could you email me her address sometime - I'd love to write a note.
He will be gone 12-14 months. This will be very hard for Shannon. She doesn't know many people in New York. She must drive many hours from home to her little apt. near school. Winters in New Your can be brutal when it comes to driving and she will need to take care of her home as well.(shoveling snow off of roof,car maintenance etc.) She is capable but I do worry ~ I am a mom afterall. I will get her address to you. She would love to hear from you. But don't anticipate any reciprocation ~ she is really bad about writing. She found Christmas cards from two years ago all addressed and stamped that she never got around to mailing. I may have had one letter from her since she moved there. And I usually call her. She is not a great communicator to say the least. Thanks again for your prayers. LF
Tomorrow he leaves for Iraq. His wife of one year will be alone. I am afraid for them both. Our country needs your prayers. Please pray.
