Christmas Countdown!

My creative Sister-in-law just sent me this
darling Christmas Countdown
"Calendar" that she made.
She said it was late,
but that's ok with me!
My grand babies won't be here to
see it until the 24th anyway!
Thank you, Tracey! It is so cute!
From a mini muffin tin and her crafting
know how and tools, she cut cute little
circles and numbers!
She embellished each with a
bow or beads.

They stay in place with little magnets cut and attached
to the backs and each indentation is
filled with a treat!
Another suggestion was to have a verse behind
each day leading up to Christmas.
The girls and I are going to eat these treats,
but what should I put in it for next Christmas?
Do you have any suggestions for me for next year?

for you do not know what a day may bring forth."

Oh My Friend...this is just adorable. I don't have little ones anymore, but this is really a neat way to count down :-D

Blessings,

Oh Raeann...that countdown calendar is soooo sweet!! How creative your sister-in-love is! :)

I like to put notes in our calendar (it has pockets) occasionally...something like "today we will walk through a neighbourhood at night to look at lights", or "today we will decorate the tree", or...??? The other days I put in candies...I like the idea of verses too. How lovely!

I am going to be *offline* for the next two weeks, so I did just want to stop in and wish you and your family a very Merry CHRISTmas! May the LORD bless you all in the coming year. I will look forward to catching up with you early in 2011.

Blessings,
Camille

Oh mu goodness what a sweet idea! My mother and her husband had an advent calender for their dog last year and she would get so excited...this would work with doggie treats in it as well as candy.

Another incredibly cute idea! I'm going to have to link to you again for my 'Martha' moment if that okay.

This is darling!! And very clever. Somewhere I saw an advent list of things to do each day as acts of kindness - loved that. You could include one wrapped around a piece of candy.

How I LOVE this! I saw something similar last year and thought about making one but this one is so much better. The other was on a cookie sheet but how perfect in a muffin tin so you can hide tiny surprises!

I wonder where I could find a 24 cup mini muffin pan. I guess they are out there and I just haven't noticed.

Sending very Merry Christmas wishes to YOU!
